Abstract
This paper deals with the determination of the optimal biorthogonal an alysis window sequence of the discrete Gabor expansion. We first deriv e the relationships between the continuous and discrete Gabor expansio ns. On the basis of the relationships between the continuous and discr ete Gabor expansions, we present a very simple method to compute the o ptimal biorthogonal analysis window sequence rather than the complicat ed matrix computation used by others.
