At. Belokhvostova et al., CARCINOGEN-PROTEIN ADDUCTS IN BLOOD-SERUM OF WORKERS FROM THE RUBBER INDUSTRY, Eksperimental'naa onkologia, 19(4), 1997, pp. 284-288
The presence of carcinogen-protein adducts (CPA) contained exogenic ca
rcinogens benzidine and 2-naphthylamine as well as endogenic carcinoge
n 3-oxyanthranylic acid was detected in blood serum of 7035 workers of
the rubber industry by the method of double radial immunodiffusion in
agar. CPA were revealed in 1324 persons (18,8%) which represent a gro
up of high oncological risk. The role of CPA as high informative biolo
gical markers of cancer risk is discussed.
