Abstract
Reaction of nitrosyl chloride with 1,3-diphenyl-1,2,3,4-tetrahydra-gam ma-carboline (1) provides itroso-1,3-diphenyl-1,3,4-trihydro-gamma-car boline (2) and 1,3-diphenyl-gamma-carboline (3). Their structures have been established on the basis of Chemical and spectral evidences.
