Abstract
Three different methods for the measurement of vitamin B-12 were compa red: two spectrophotometric methods and an HPLC one. When the pure vit amin was used, the results obtained using all three methods were simil ar, but when samples from microbial material were used, the results we re different. The HPLC method could distinguish the true vitamin B-12 from the different vitamin B-12 analogues whereas the spectrophotometr ic methods could not.
