Abstract
A simple model of a spherical bubble rising through a layer of liquid with mass transfer of part, or all, of its contents is considered. The effects of the changing hydrostatic pressure, the material transfer a nd of surface tension are accounted for and the various types of behav iour exhibited in a phase plane of size and content.
