Abstract
A controlled study of the relationship of two standard clinical indica tors of osteoarthritis and porosity failed to demonstrate a relationsh ip. Porosity appears to be a curiosity that has no clinical correlatio n and is not a sign of an identifiable rheumatologic disorder. It shou ld be deleted as an identifier for osteoarthritis.
