Abstract
A man with a mission is Ghassan Matar, managing director of Geodetic T echnology International, a company that is beginning to make its mark in rapid prototyping and machine tool applications. But that is just t he beginning. The hexapod technology used in its machines can be turne d equally to any application requiring a volumetric repeatability of 1 0 mu m at the working end, and the end effector can be a milling cutte r, a gripper, a water jet cutter, a laser or other device. Jack Hollin gum went to meet him and Eric Harris, product specialist.
