Abstract
The selectivity of a molecularly imprinted polymer (MIP) was substanti ally enhanced by inactivating the non-specific binding sites distribut ed within the polymer. Treatment of the polymer with varying amounts o f methyl iodide in the presence of the template molecule resulted in s tronger binding of the template and more effective separation from sim ilar steroids.
