Abstract
The reaction of -4-dichloromethyl-4-methylcyclohexa-2,5-dien-1-one wit h (Me3Si)(2)NNa yielded loro-6-methyltricyclo[4.1.0.0(2,7)]hept-4-en-3 -one (substituted tropovalene). The structure of the title compound wa s established by H-1 and C-13 NMR spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction a nalysis.
