Medical management of Meniere's disease is successful in approximately
70% of patients. Surgical intervention is the treatment option when m
edication fails. Middle ear installation of aminoglycosides provides s
ignificant control of vertigo. This article addresses the role of amin
oglycoside ablation of vestibular function in Meniere's disease.
