Abstract
The problem of computer-aided flight planning by means of artificial i ntelligence is formulated. The structure and software of the system (i ncluding the channel for exchanging large volumes of formalized data a nd user-friendly interface) are developed. A prototype of the expert s ystem of flight planning which is based on expandable software for hie rarchical modular structures is proposed.
