Abstract
A new species from the Mexican state of Morelos, Malaxis lyonnetii, is described and illustrated. It is similar to M. lepanthiflora but is d istinguished by its much smaller flowers, distally uncinate basal lip lobes, and entire, rounded apical lip lobe.
