Abstract
An effective commercial organization always promotes the launch of any new product or service. To achieve their full potential, distance-lea rning packages and face-to-face courses must also be marketed. Trigger leaflets, which set the scene for learning, are an important promotio nal tool. The 12 tips outlined in this paper will help those developin g educational programmes to assess the importance of such trigger leaf lets and gain insight into design techniques.
