TRRD - DATABASE ON TRANSCRIPTION REGULATORY REGIONS OF EUKARYOTIC GENES

The format of the TRRD complies with the model of hierarchical organiz ation of transcription regulatory regions of eukaryotic genes, The cur rent version of TRRD covers more than 300 genes, with several large se ctions concerning different important systems of functionally linked g enes. Each such section contains formalized information on the structu re of regulatory regions in a specially designed format, and nonformal ized information in textual and graphic form. Integration is achieved with the WWW hypertext tools. We describe a relational model of the da tabase and ways far its integration with other databases, first of all TRANSFAC and COMPEL.
