Abstract
This study sought to assess the potential influence of the angiotensin -converting enzyme (ACE) and angiotensin II type 1 (AT1) receptor gene polymorphisms on restenosis after coronary balloon angioplasty. The a uthors conclude that screening for genetic susceptibility to restenosi s based on genotyping of ACE and AT1 receptor polymorphisms before con ventional balloon angioplasty is not clinically useful.
