S. Khodabandeh et Me. Davis, ZEOLITE-P1 AND ZEOLITE-L AS PRECURSORS FOR THE PREPARATION OF ALKALINE-EARTH ZEOLITES, Microporous materials, 12(4-6), 1997, pp. 347-359
Zeolites PI (GIS) and L (LTL) are used as precursor materials for the
preparation of synthetic analogues of the natural alkaline-earth zeoli
tes brewsterite, heulandite, epistilbite, harmotome and yugawaralite.
Crystallization of these zeolites is accomplished by hydrothermal trea
tment of the precursor zeolites with aqueous solutions containing an a
ppropriate alkaline-earth cation. The effects of the composition of th
e starting zeolite, the composition of the solution phase and the pres
ence or absence of seeds are discussed. (C) 1997 Elsevier Science B.V.
