Abstract
We have investigated current-voltage (I-V) characteristics of intrinsi c Josephson junctions in c-axis-oriented (Bi,Pb)(2)Sr2Ca2Cu3O10+x (Bi- 2223) superconductive thin films. Clear branching structures peculiar to stacked junctions are observed. We also have evaluated the quasi-pa rticle current of a single intrinsic junction by adopting the modified mesa structure. The obtained quasi-particle I-V curve is quite well e xplained theoretically by assuming d(x2-y2) symmetry for the supercond uctivity order parameter. (C) 1997 Elsevier Science B.V.
