Abstract
Interlayer Josephson coupling in the vortex state of heavy-ion irradia ted Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8+delta is studied by Josephson plasma resonance. We s how that the irradiation causes a drastic change of the interlayer cou pling, We provide strong evidence that the well-coupled vortex-line-li quid is formed due to columnar defects.
