Abstract
An alternative post geometry suitable for the realization of waveguide filters is investigated, The new post consists of half a cylinder, Du e to its asymmetry it is possible to vary the electrical characteristi cs of such an element by means of a simple rotation. This permits us t o compensate for fabrication tolerances of a filter without introducin g additional screws.
