J. Kemp et Zy. Chen, NONEXPONENTIAL DYNAMIC RELAXATION OF RANDOMLY BRANCHED POLYMERS IN GOOD SOLVENTS, Physical review. E, Statistical physics, plasmas, fluids, and related interdisciplinary topics, 56(6), 1997, pp. 7017-7022
Monte Carlo simulations were carried out to study the dynamics of rand
omly branched polymers in good solvents. Two types of time scales were
observed: fast relaxation times corresponding to the internal contrac
tion motions and slower relaxation times corresponding to the overall
rotational motions of the polymers. The former is associated with auto
correlation functions that exhibit nonexponential decay behavior, a si
gnature of the dynamics of random systems. The latter is associated wi
th the usual exponential decay behavior, typical of linear or regularl
y branched polymers.
