Abstract
The applicatiliby of the extractive spectrophotometric method using th ree different cationic dyes as the chromogenic reagent for indentifica tion and quantification of anionic surfactants in aqueous solutions an d environmental samples was comparatively investigated. The inteferenc es due to the ions Cl-, NO3-, Ca++, Mg++ and Fe3+ were examined as wel l as the effect of pH. The recoveries ranged from 95 to 104% for sea w ater samples.
