Ra. Marcus, ELECTRON-TRANSFER REACTIONS IN CHEMISTRY - THEORY AND EXPERIMENT, Journal of electroanalytical chemistry [1992], 438(1-2), 1997, pp. 251-259
Since the late 1940s, the field of electron transfer processes has gro
wn enormously in chemistry, electrochemistry, and biology. The develop
ment of the field, experimentally and theoretically, as well as its re
lation to the study of the other kinds of chemical reactions, presents
an intriguing history in which many threads have been brought togethe
r. In this article, some history, recent trends, and my own involvemen
t are described. (C) 1993 Nobel Foundation(2).
