Abstract
We report some considerations on the design of a parallel magnetic pul se compressor, including the circuit equivalence condition, the ohmic loss estimation of the magetic core material and the influence of the core geometry on its saturation time. In particular, we describe the c ase of a one-stage saturable transformer compressor and present the pa rameter selection criteria and some experimental results.
