The Creativity Styles Questionnaire-Revised was administered to 93 sup
ervising managers of a nation-wide rail transportation corporation. Th
e managers were divided into high and low creative groups based on a s
elf-report measure of creative capacity. The results were consistent w
ith those obtained with students in a previous study. The high creativ
e managers, relative to low creative managers, reported (a) greater be
lief in unconscious processes, (b) using a greater number of technique
s, and (c) being more motivated in their efforts to pursue ideas rathe
r than to develop a concrete final product.
