Abstract
A total of 29 antigenic specificities were defined from the reaction p attern of 523 lymphocyte samples with 79 antisera. Antigen K21 had hig her frequency (0.66, 0.67, 0.76 in KS, KF, Sahiwal, respectively) than other antigens, whereas, in Hariana cattle K14 had the highest freque ncy (0.65). The haplotypic frequencies for KS and RF showed significan t (P<0.01) deviation from Hardy Weinberg equilibrium, whereas, in Sahi wal and Hariana cattle the deviation was significant only at 5% level of significance The strength of the linkage disequilibrium was more in KS as compared to that in other three breeds. Polymorphic differences were observed at the breed level as the number of alleles in a breed varied from 19 (Hariana) to 29 (RF). The values of genetic distances b etween different breeds showed cosiderable genetic influence between K S and KF.
