DISSOLVED TRACE-ELEMENTS IN SOUTH AEGEAN SEAWATER

Within the framework of the CEC/MAST-supported Project PELAGOS, analys es of seawater samples for the determination of dissolved trace elemen ts were carried out in the south Aegean Sea (Eastern Mediterranean Bas in) during 1994. The study area comprised the Cretan Sea and the Strai ts (Western and Eastern) of the Cretan Arc. The goal of this study was the better understanding of the exports of water and associated mater ial in the eastern Mediterranean Basin, through trace element determin ations.
