Abstract
The adsorptive-catalytic voltammetry of Cr(VI) and total chromium usin g DTPA is optimized for application to estuarine waters with high cont ent of dissolved organic substances. The sensitivity of the method, be tter than 2 nA nM(-1) s(-1), is adequate to the intended goal of speci ation. However, the instability of Cr(VI) in the presence of organic m aterial imposes restrictions to the use of this methodology in large s cale surveys and monitoring activities.
