Abstract
We present a theoretical solution for the vertical structure of the ve locity profiles in infragravity waves. The solution predicts that whil e the velocity without local forcing of the infragravity waves does no t vary significantly with the vertical coordinate, the velocity with l ocal forcing of the infragravity waves has a substantial vertical stru cture.
