Abstract
The evaluation of common breast problems requires an assessment of the patient's risks and symptoms and a thorough physical examination. Whe n indicated, appropriate imaging studies should be done, the patient s hould be referred to a surgeon or a breast specialist, and operative i nterventions should be used.
