Abstract
4-Perfluoroalkylsulfonyl (RfSO2)-substituted azo nonlinear optical chr omophores (NLOphores) showed enhanced second-order nonlinear coefficie nts (d(33)) and improved relaxation behavior compared with the corresp onding nitro compound (Disperse Red I (DR 1)) in both doped poly(methy lmethacrylate) (PMMA) and pendanted methylmethacrylate(MMA) copolymer.
