Abstract
We have calculated the polarization properties of dielectronic satelli te lines in Be-like Mg and Fe ions excited by an electron beam. Polari zation-dependent synthetic spectra have been computed associated with two polarization states: parallel and perpendicular to the electron be am. We will discuss the dependence of;:he polarization-dependent spect ra on the characteristics of the electron beam and on the nuclear char ge of the ion. These results are relevant to diagnostics applications of x-ray line polarization spectroscopy in non-equilibrium plasmas who se electron distribution functions can show anisotropy.
