Abstract
The regular perturbation method is used to solve the hyperbolic temper ature evolution equation with weak nonlinear terms for a one-dimension al isolated rigid system. Some dynamic and thermodynamic aspects (e.g. , the wave speed and the evolution of the entropy) are analyzed. The e xistence of thermal wave fronts and heat flux solitons for a non-isola ted rigid system is shown analytically.
