Abstract
Extraction of the aerial parts of Ophiorrhiza cf. communis Linn. (Rubi aceae) has yielded the new quaternary zwitterionic alkaloid isomalindi ne-16-carboxylate (3), the structure of which followed from its spectr oscopic properties.
