Abstract
The oxidative properties of xenon fluoride triflate 3 (prepared from x enon difluoride and triflic acid) in reactions with iodoarenes were st udied. The resultant aryliodoso adducts 2a,b react with aromatic compo unds resulting in diaryliodonium triflates 4,5 in good yield, The mole cular structure of product 5a was determined by X-ray analysis.
