Programming parallel computers, consisting of multiple powerful proces
sing elements, is a hard task. A suitable very high level notation is
needed by which the programmer can express an algorithm for a given pr
oblem in a style both a multiprocessor machine can efficiently execute
and, at the same time, can be easily understood by humans. In this pa
per a graphical notation is presented facilitating layered structures
in object-oriented parallel programs in a way both the graphical and t
he textual parts could be easily integrated. Applying our proposed not
ation can substantially reduce the efforts of the programmer to make v
ery high level programs for high performance parallel computers.
