THE INTEGRAL CLOSURE OF SUBRINGS ASSOCIATED TO GRAPHS

Let G be a graph on the vertex set V,and R = k[V] a polynomial ring ov er a field k. We give a very explicit description of the integral clos ure of the monomial subring k[G] subset of R, generated by the squaref ree monomials of degree two defining the edges of the graph G.
