Abstract
A consistent treatment based on the QCD sum rules at finite temperatur e has been established to calculate the J/Psi suppression in hot hadro nic matter (HM) and quark-gluon plasma (QGP) respectively. We have fou nd that the J/Psi suppression occurs in both hadronic matter and quark -gluon plasma, but a J/Psi mass shift of about 0.49 GeV exists in QGP background only. The results obtained by QCD sum rules and by potentia l model are compared.
