THE FINITE-DIMENSIONAL REVERSIBLE KAM THEORY

The main results of the theory of quasi-periodic motions in finite-dim ensional reversible dynamical systems are surveyed. Lower-dimensional invariant tori and excitation of elliptic normal modes are discussed i n detail. The case where the reversing involution is perturbed is cons idered. Several fundamental differences between the reversible and Ham iltonian theories are listed.
