With the development of digital processing technology, there are emerg
ing trends toward digitization in radar receivers design. By applying
direct intermediate frequency-to-digital conversion (IF sampling) and
direct digital synthesis (DDS), digital radar receivers can be designe
d. The digital radar receivers can obtain much higher precision and st
ability than analog ones; moreover, it can retain the extreme flexibil
ity of digital techniques. This paper presents the principle, constitu
tion and design method of digital radar receivers.
