Abstract
The properties of thickness mode resonators using the new piezoelectri c materials of the crystal class of quartz (32) are investigated Cryst al orientations giving very interesting properties are found For these orientations, the properties of energy trapping resonators are determ ined as a function of the resonator parameters. It appears that well d esigned resonators using these materials have many advantages over qua rtz for oscillators and filters applications.
