Abstract
A new polymer, rimethylgermylmethyl)-1,3-cyclopentylenevinylene], was synthesized via ROMP of 5-(trimethylgermylmethyl)-2-norbornene in the presence of RuCl3 . 3H(2)O, RuCl3(PPh3)(3) and RuCl2(PPh3)(3) catalyst s. The structure of the synthesized polymer was determined on the basi s of IR, H-1 NMR and C-13 NMR spectra. The gas transport properties fo r this polymer have been studied.
