Abstract
Design of a heat-reflecting coating from two materials of high and low refractive indices is considered. It is realized using three-and five -layer symmetrical periods. Analytical study is performed to find the period structures and their arrangement in the multilayer. The final d esign is obtained numerically using a quality factor based on the visi ble transmittance and the infrared reflectance. Matching layers are ad ded in order to improve the visible transmittance.
