Ss. Rajput et Sc. Garg, DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF A SLOPE MEASURING INSTRUMENT FOR MEASUREMENT OF CHARGED-PARTICLE TEMPERATURES, Review of scientific instruments, 69(1), 1998, pp. 294-298
This article reports the design considerations, implementation, and pe
rformance of an instrument, used to measure the slope of current-volta
ge (I-V) characteristics of ionospheric plasma, for onboard measuremen
t of charged particle temperatures. The instrument measures the reflec
ted ac signal in the probe current, when an ac voltage is superposed o
ver the probe bias, and is designed for the slope measurement from 6.3
x 10(-14) A/V-2 to 6.3 x 10(-9) A/V-2 with full scale resolution of 0
.2%. (C) 1998 American Institute of Physics.
