Stochastization due to overlapping and destruction of nonlinear resona
nces is investigated in a model of a self-matched oscillation system w
ith two resonators, one of which is nonlinear due to the capacitance o
f a p-n junction. An increase in the gain of the active element, in th
e case of weak coupling between the resonators, is shown to result in
alternation of the zones of chaos and regular motion. The period of th
e regular oscillations successively increases from zone to zone follow
ing the integer law. In the case of a sufficiently strong coupling, on
ly chaotic oscillations occur in the system, and their intensity incre
ases with the increasing gain of the active element. An experimental p
rototype of a microwave transistor oscillator with a varactor is propo
sed and investigated. The theoretical and experimental models are comp
ared.
