In this paper, we present a simplified shell model to calculate the ex
cited state energies of two and three nucleons moving on orbits outsid
e arm inert core. The two-body matrix elements (TBME) describing the i
nteraction between active particles outside the care are those determi
ned experimentally. High spin states fed by the two- and three-nucleon
transfer on C-12, O-16, Si-28, Ca-40, Fe-54, Ni-58, Ni-60, Ni-62, Ni-
64, Zn-64, Zn-66, Zn-68, target nuclei are calculated and compared to
the experimental results.
