Abstract
The compound (Bu4Sn2)-Sn-t(Me2Si)O-3 . (Bu2Sn)-Sn-t(OH)(2) displays a unique tricyclic structure consisting of fused six-membered Sn2SiO3 an d four-membered Sn2O2 rings to form a planar SiSn3O4 skeleton, with se verely distorted trigonal bipyramidal co-ordination at tin and tetrahe dral co-ordination at silicon.
