Abstract
The Lung Cancer Cooperative Group of the European Organization for Res earch and Treatment of Cancer was founded in 1981. During the past 15 years, the group has participated in the development of treatment of n on-small cell lung cancer with chemotherapy. The group pet-formed stan dard phase II studies of new drugs and phase III studies with new and active drugs. Furthermore, the group pet-formed studies combining chem otherapy with treatment for localized disease.
