The study attempts at painting out the union of religiosity with psych
ology and its importance far mental life of human being. In order to u
nderstand its original meaning, the introduction deals with the explan
ation of the term ''religiosity''. The study shows how far religion in
fluenced some of the well-known psychoanalysts and therapeuts, as well
as their attitude to religiosity. The specificities of religious peop
