Abstract
The intramolecular aza-Wittig reaction of (5S)-N-[2-(trisubstituted an ylidene)aminobenzoyl]-2-pyrrolidone-5-carboxylic acid derivatives gave chemoselectively pyrrolo[2,1-c][1,4]benzodiazepin derivatives or pyrr olo[2,1-b]quinazoline derivatives depending on their substituents and phosphorus reagent.
