Abstract
Study of Gesneriaceae for the Flora of Ecuador and the Catalogue of th e Vascular Plants of Ecuador has shown that some recently published ne w species need to be transferred with new combinations in Columnea: C. filifera, C. katzensteinii, C. mastersonii, C. medicinalis, C. ornata , and C. tandapiana, or included as synonyms of previously published s pecies.
